Ok, Ok I’ll calm down. But let’s dive in here on why Showit is the most amazing platform, and every creatives DREAM platform. It can be a lot to digest, because so many of you are used to the dated WordPress platform, Squarespace, Wix, and even Shopify! I can completely understand why this may be quite overwhelming, especially since many haven’t even heard of Showit yet. However, as a highly experience designer, I’m here to help with any confusion, and address some key reasons why Showit is the bees knees.
This platform is completely drag and drop, fully responsive and customizable on mobile, and is extremely SEO friendly because they integrate with WordPress (yes, WordPress for all of you that want WordPress websites, but don’t know how to navigate, but you’ve done your research on Google and your friends say it’s the best!). You really get it all with Showit, and if there’s something more custom you need – there’s a ton of ways to make it work.
Although Showit is my absolute favorite platform to build on, I do work with many other platforms, and I will always be there to provide my honest opinion if I think you should use Showit or not. For now I am going to provide you with some key reasons so you can work towards making the best choice for your business.
”I’m having trouble editing my site.”
”Do I have to hire someone for monthly website maintenance?”
You want to move something a little to the left? Done. You want to change the size and color of a sentence, without it doing that to the rest of your Heading 2 fonts? Done. Seriously, it’s THAT easy. Now if you are using for example Squarespace, you are limited to what you can change and move around without installing some form of code.
A subscription is either $19, $24, or $34 per month, depending if you have a blog or not. And luckily for all of you WordPress lovers, you have WordPress Blog integrated into Showit. What the eff does that even mean?! It means you can host your blog through your beautiful custom Showit site. You literally design the entire site, and blog pages on Showit, and your WordPress blog posts will flow through and publish onto your site without designing on WordPress separately.
And let’s not forget about the amazing customer service they provide! Even if you’re a client who is finished with their project, and you don’t want to hassle your designer – just reach out to Showit in the chat box, and they will help you with anything you need! They’re incredibly responsive, friendly, and can easily guide you with any help you may need. And incase you didn’t know, WordPress does not have a customer service team. So if you’re stuck needing help ASAP, you’re best chances are googling the issue or having to hire a third party WordPress developer to solve whatever problem you may be having.
One of the best things about Showit is how easy it is to add SEO to your entire site and images! You can add your page title, keywords, metadata description and ALT text for your images all within each page. And YES, you have the SEO capabilities Showit has with their integration with WordPress. So you’re really not missing out here!
If you’re ready to make waves in your business, whether you’re coming from Squarespace, WordPress, or haven’t even begun yet – I’d love to chat with you on building you a highly converting and beautiful website that will leave your dream clients purchasing from you almost immediately!
xoxo,
Erica
